One more thing of you ever to decide to make another song like this: include a quiet and soft (maybe acoustic) intro before letting the loud ass METAL fall down the song and completely scaring the piss out a the listener! That always gets me...

Hey thanks; yeah, I was unsure how the intro would fare with different so I made 2 versions. I wanted a distorted and gritty sound in the intro though, as if you were tuning into it from a radio or walking up to it from afar, just as the ending fades out distorted.

Yeah I agree - the only problem is that until I get a keyboard (my keyboard doesn't have midi/usb output) I'll be stuck with what the loops have to offer.

You captured the feel very well, but the tune maybe a little to optimistic in places...meh - its better than anything I could do!

The optimism, at the end I assume you mean, the clouds clear away slowly, and then the sailors see a beautiful sunrise, a wonderful sign of the end of their troubles. The end is in D major and then G major so yeah, it does sound happier, on purpose : D
